What you will do

• Define and drive the technical direction for the internal developer platform and service "paved paths".
• Lead the design and delivery of large, cross-organizational architectures and break them into pragmatic increments.
• Set the company standard for engineering excellence through prototypes, architecture briefs, and code patterns.
• Integrate agentic and Copilot-driven approaches into operational and reliability workflows to automate toil.
• Write and maintain production code primarily in Go and Ruby.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and leading complex technical initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering (or equivalent experience with a degree).
• 5+ years of experience specifically with backend systems, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Proven track record of driving technical change and impact across multiple teams and organizations.
• Proficiency in Go, Ruby, or similar production-grade languages.
• Comfort with on-call rotations and incident response in high-availability environments.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience working remotely in a distributed software engineering team.
• Interest or experience in applying agentic AI and Copilot to operational work.
