What you will do

• Design, develop, upgrade, document, and test application services for the Equity Portfolio Management team within Investments.
• Build or implement technologies that meet business needs using industry-standard tools and best practices.
• Establish software quality practices, maintainable coding habits, automation, and security-focused approaches.
• Assist with user stories, estimates, work plans, reports, manuals, and software operation and maintenance documentation.
• Advise business clients and IT management on technology capabilities and strategies for adopting new technologies.
• Provide third-level support to local and remote investment business clients while collaborating with developers, network administrators, senior management, external parties, and other technology groups.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Software Developer.
• Proficiency with Python, Django, Angular, C# Microsoft .NET 3.5+ framework, PostgreSQL, Transact SQL, and Javascript.
• Understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories.
• Experience with automated acceptance testing and the ability to write unit-tested, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with SOLID coding principles.
• Internal motivation and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills with internal team members and external business stakeholders.
• Ability to improve solutions, systems, and processes; solve problems systematically and transparently; and collaborate by sharing ideas and integrating feedback.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
• Experience developing continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
• Experience with CQRS and Event Sourcing architectures.
• Background in financial systems design and development.
