Head/Director Business Consulting (Airports)

Location: Reading, United Kingdom, or Madrid, Spain. Hybrid work with work from home up to 2 days per week; up to 30 days per year may be worked from any location in the world.

What you will do

• Lead the Airport business unit's advisory agenda and build a small, high-impact Airports advisory team.
• Develop the advisory proposition, engagement model, governance, methodologies, and reusable knowledge assets.
• Lead engagements covering future airport vision, technology strategy, IT maturity assessments, master planning, and digital roadmaps.
• Advise on passenger experience and flow through modelling, simulation, capacity optimisation, digital engagement, and end-to-end journey design.
• Partner with regional teams, portfolios, and specialists to shape opportunities, support executive customer discussions, and strengthen portfolio growth.

Requirements

• Approximately 10 years of experience in airport advisory, planning, strategy, or related business consulting roles.
• Experience with problem structuring, client advisory, methodology development, and building consulting or advisory practices.
• Strong understanding of airport operations, business models, planning, passenger experience, aviation technology, digital strategy, and airport economics.
• Demonstrated ability to engage at CxO level, influence strategic customer discussions, and work across regional, product, and matrix teams.
• Strong strategic and commercial judgement, including opportunity shaping, pipeline development, business case development, and portfolio alignment.
• MBA, relevant accreditation, or equivalent qualification.

• Consultancy accreditations such as the Diploma in Management Consultancy from the Institute of Business Consulting and the Chartered Management Institute.
