What you will do

• Act as a trusted second-line of defence advisor to ensure policies and processes align with FCA expectations and Financial Crime legislation.
• Provide routine compliance support for process design, scripts, financial promotions, and case enquiries.
• Oversee compliance incidents to ensure corrective actions are implemented and controls are improved based on root causes.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the FCA and other bodies, including Suspicious Activity Reports.
• Collaborate with first-line defence and Legal & Compliance colleagues to educate stakeholders and promote a strong compliance culture.
• Monitor regulatory news and developments to ensure business preparedness and improvement.

Requirements

• Solid experience in a second-line defence compliance role within financial services.
• Essential experience working with general insurance products.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and FCA expectations.
• Proven track record in spotting compliance-related risks and implementing proportionate responses.
• Must be based in or able to commute to central London for hybrid work (1-2 days per week).

Nice to have

• Exposure to Consumer Credit or Cashback Card products.
• Knowledge and experience in financial crime.
