What you will do

• Deliver risk-based Monitoring & Testing reviews across Financial Crime risk areas.
• Assess the design and operational effectiveness of 1LOD controls, including CDD/EDD, sanctions, and transaction monitoring.
• Produce high-quality assurance reports and thematic summaries underpinned by robust audit trails.
• Translate technical issues into concise, objective insights for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
• Contribute to MI, thematic analysis, and the identification of emerging risks.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and constructive challenge to analysts and contractors.

Requirements

• Experience delivering assurance, monitoring, testing, or audit within Financial Crimes Compliance.
• Strong understanding of AML/CTF, Sanctions, Fraud, ABC, and Tax Evasion Facilitation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to senior management.
• Strong analytical capability with sound judgement and evidence-based conclusions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Location: Must be based in London

Nice to have

• Financial Crime experience within asset management or insurance sectors.
• Experience working across multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Background in supporting large-scale Financial Crime transformation or remediation programmes.
• Proficiency in data-led techniques such as sampling, pattern detection, and trend analysis.
