What you will do

• Design and enforce compliance frameworks to enable safe scaling of digital financial services.
• Manage the primary relationship and regulatory readiness for the FCA and other UK regulatory bodies.
• Build and oversee policies covering AML, KYC, data privacy, and consumer duty.
• Implement complaint handling frameworks and pricing governance aligned with regulatory standards.
• Partner with product, legal, and commercial teams to ensure compliant execution of new products and partnerships.
• Deliver training to ensure organizational understanding of compliance responsibilities.

Requirements

• Based in the United Kingdom.
• 8+ years of experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory roles within financial services, insurance, or fintech.
• Minimum 1 year of experience specifically within the insurance industry.
• Deep expertise in UK regulatory frameworks and FCA rules.
• Proven ability to design policies, conduct risk assessments, and manage complex compliance programs.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, specifically dealing with regulators.

Nice to have

• Experience in start-up or high-growth environments.
• Background in insurtech, digital distribution, or online marketplaces.
• Knowledge of GDPR, AML, sanctions, or cross-border compliance.
