Digital Specialist (MES/Industrial Automation)

Location: Monza, Italy; approximately 40% travel to customer sites is required.

Gross annual base salary range: EUR 48,055.05–68,646.79, plus an annual discretionary incentive.

What you will do

• Design production plant system architectures from ERP systems to the shop floor.
• Configure, deploy, test, and adapt MES/MOM solutions for Reception, Production, Packaging, and Quality operations.
• Integrate processing, packaging, ERP, WMS, LIMS, and related industrial systems into complete plant solutions.
• Support solution development to meet customer-specific requirements.
• Provide technical lifecycle support, issue resolution, and installation support.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and deliver solutions directly to customers, including on-site travel.

Requirements

• Experience developing, implementing, and delivering digital software solutions.
• Understanding of MES/MIS applications and Digital Transformation requirements, including Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things.
• Knowledge of PLCs such as Siemens or Rockwell.
• Experience implementing HMI systems such as Siemens WinCC, Rockwell RSView, or AVEVA InTouch.
• Knowledge of virtualization and container environments.
• Structured, analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of requirements engineering.
