Subject Manager (Education)

Location: Hybrid in Cardiff, UK (Office presence required 1 day per week)

What you will do

• Lead international teams of examiners and senior examiners to ensure high assessment quality.
• Manage authoring teams to produce high-quality assessment materials for designated subjects.
• Implement and monitor effective standardization processes for marking assessment material.
• Lead grade award meetings to ensure grades are awarded fairly and accurately.
• Represent the assessment perspective in curriculum reviews and at international conferences.
• Manage assessment-related expenses and communicate guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification relevant to the designated subjects.
• Significant post-qualification experience in educational assessment, teaching, or research.
• Ability to work in at least one of: Dutch, French, or Swedish.
• Excellent writing skills in English.
• Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from statistical information.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Cardiff, UK for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a similar subject manager role.
• Experience in examining.
• Ability to work in other Group 2 languages offered by the IB.
