What you will do

• Provide senior leadership for apprenticeship quality, compliance, and regulatory assurance.
• Maintain the University’s apprenticeship compliance framework and ensure audit readiness for Ofsted, DfE, and OfS.
• Lead the development and implementation of apprenticeship policies and governance processes.
• Advise senior leadership on regulatory and funding changes with impact and risk analysis.
• Monitor performance metrics, including retention and achievement, to drive strategic improvements.
• Identify and mitigate risks relating to funding, regulation, and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Up-to-date knowledge of the apprenticeship regulatory landscape, funding rules, and audit requirements.
• Senior experience leading quality, compliance, or regulatory functions within FE, HE, or the skills sector.
• Direct experience as an institutional lead for external inspections or audits (e.g., Ofsted, DfE).
• Proven ability to design and operate quality assurance and governance frameworks in complex environments.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills for engaging senior leaders and regulators.
• Ability to work from the Milton Keynes office 1-2 days per week.
