Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services powering internal and customer-facing web applications.
• Architect supporting systems including databases, real-time data pipelines, and monitoring solutions.
• Create intuitive command-line utilities and APIs that integrate with the platform ecosystem.
• Collaborate with UX/UI and Sensors teams to deliver integrated solutions with comprehensive documentation.
• Configure advanced monitoring and alerting to maintain high availability for production services.
• Guide junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making and architectural improvements.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of production experience building large-scale distributed systems with high-volume data.
• Advanced programming expertise in Golang and Python.
• Proven experience with microservices, scalable REST APIs, and distributed communication patterns.
• Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with Kafka, PostgreSQL, and distributed caching solutions like Redis.
• Must be based in or able to work from Sunnyvale, CA or Redmond, WA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Machine Learning or AI implementation.
• Expertise in Elasticsearch, Cassandra, or Graph databases.
• Cybersecurity industry experience or relevant certifications.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
