Senior Software Development Engineer - Core Platform Integration

Location: Pleasanton, California, United States; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: $176,000–$264,000 annual base salary for the primary location; additional US locations offer $160,100–$285,100.

What you will do

• Partner with engineering leads at 2–3 acquired companies to inventory services, dependencies, and cloud-provider-specific infrastructure.
• Analyze technical differences and create per-service migration plans with scope and effort estimates.
• Rewrite Terraform and Terragrunt modules, port CI/CD pipelines, replace cloud-locked services, and implement migration automation.
• Re-instrument logs, metrics, traces, and SLOs to hirify.global standards.
• Identify gaps in the CP2 platform and provide technical requirements to infrastructure platform teams.
• Establish reusable migration patterns and participate in architecture reviews across infrastructure and acquisition teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software or infrastructure engineering experience, including at least 3 years operating production workloads on AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong Kubernetes experience with EKS, GKE, or equivalent, including pod debugging, Helm, networking, and resource limits.
• Production proficiency with Terraform; Terragrunt experience is beneficial.
• Strong coding skills in Go and/or Python for automation, migration tooling, and operators.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, managed cloud databases, and production cloud migrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; proficiency with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Augment.

Nice to have

• Multi-cloud experience with both GCP and AWS.
• Experience with secrets management, least-privilege IAM, vulnerability scanning, image signing, or mTLS.
• Experience with security auditing and compliance frameworks.
