TL;DR
Assistant Lawyer (Insurance): Managing Household and Commercial Property recovery files for insurance clients with an accent on litigation and client relationship management. Focus on conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and performing advocacy both in person and via telephone.
Location: Hybrid (Bolton, UK). 1 day attendance at the office required.

What you will do
- Handle a caseload of Household and Commercial Property recovery files for well-known insurers.
- Conduct legal research, review evidence, and draft legal documents.
- Perform advocacy via telephone and in person, and attend court appointments and trials.
- Liaise with lay and insurer clients, providing training and mentoring to build strong relationships.
- Manage settlement negotiations, including the drafting of Part 36 offers.
- Instruct counsel and experts, and assist with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) including mediation.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a Defendant insurance litigation firm.
- Specific litigation experience relating to Recoveries.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Household and Commercial recoveries.
- Ability to prioritize workload and maintain high attention to detail.
- Experience working with case management systems.
- Must be based in or able to commute to the office in Bolton, UK.
