Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Designing and building services across the stack for a leading home-life essentials comparison platform with an accent on end-to-end delivery and technical autonomy. Focus on developing complex energy products using JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, and Clojure while taking full ownership of quality and testing.

Location: Hybrid: 2 days per week in the London (Tower Bridge) office (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery within a small, experienced team with high technical autonomy over decisions and implementation.
• Design and build services across the stack using JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, and Clojure.
• Take full ownership of testing and quality, deciding the most effective testing strategies without a separate QA function.
• Collaborate to shape solutions for the energy market, accounting for its specific constraints.
• Release changes daily and drive the technical approach to address business and consumer challenges.

Requirements

• Genuine fullstack experience, proficient in building frontends (React/JavaScript) and designing backend APIs and databases.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and become productive in unfamiliar programming languages.
• Pragmatic approach to delivering effective solutions for business challenges.
• Strong curiosity regarding the problems faced by customers and energy suppliers.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the London office 2 days per week.
