What you will do

• Develop and execute bench-level tests during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases to ensure product functionality.
• Debug embedded on-chip circuitry, including amplifiers, data converters, and power converters.
• Design, develop, and debug silicon validation board-level hardware and bring up platforms.
• Create automated test frameworks and regression test suites using Python to increase efficiency.
• Analyze test results using business intelligence tools like Spotfire and generate technical reports.
• Collaborate with Design, Systems, and Application Engineers to align on requirements and use cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related subject.
• Advanced electrical engineering knowledge in audio electronics, analog, digital, or power electronics.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio/logic/spectrum analyzers).
• Solid understanding of mixed-signal building blocks (ADC, DAC, PLLs, amplifiers) and IC communication protocols.
• Must be based within commutable distance of Edinburgh or willing to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience with post-silicon validation and mixed-signal IP block design.
• Proficiency with simulation tools like LTSpice.
• Experience with C, SQL, NI Teststand, or hardware tools like FPGA and DSP.
• Knowledge of industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, I2S, or TDM.
• Experience with version control tools (Git, SVN, Perforce).
