What you will do

• Build and improve ML and optimization models that power customer-facing energy optimization features.
• Develop time-series forecasting, scheduling, and decision models for heat pumps, batteries, solar, tariffs, and weather.
• Productionise and own models end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, reliability, and iteration.
• Run experiments on real customer systems and translate results into product decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ship reliable and valuable intelligence.
• Communicate technical trade-offs, uncertainty, and model behaviour to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Experience building ML, data, or optimization systems used in real-world products.
• Strong programming skills in Python and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience moving models beyond notebooks, specifically in evaluation, testing, deployment, or monitoring.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to work with ambiguous and imperfect real-world data.
• Product-oriented mindset focused on measurable customer impact.

Nice to have

• Experience with energy systems, electricity markets, demand response, or flexibility.
• Experience with constrained optimization, control systems, or physical systems modelling.
