What you will do
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Payable, including invoicing, payment allocation, and debtor monitoring.
- Process weekly payroll in Xero, ensuring compliance with Australian payroll standards.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including bank/credit card reconciliations and general ledger entries.
- Prepare weekly cash flow and financial reports and assist with BAS documentation and lodgement.
- Provide professional finance support to clients and suppliers regarding account and payment enquiries.
- Document finance procedures and utilize AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to increase productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Xero.
- Solid understanding of Australian GST and BAS processes.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (C1).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Availability to work Sydney time (9:00 AM to 2:30 PM).
Nice to have
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Experience with Stripe, GoCardless, and Hubdoc.
