System Engineer (Aerospace): Defining spacecraft system architectures and supporting the full platform lifecycle from concept through testing, validation, and operational support with an accent on mission requirements, system interfaces, and spacecraft budgets. Focus on performing system-level trade-offs, developing mission analyses and operational concepts, managing risks, and maintaining traceable engineering documentation.

What you will do

  • Derive and manage mission, system, and segment requirements across space, ground, and launch segments.
  • Perform system analyses and contribute to spacecraft architecture and system-level trade-off decisions.
  • Develop functional analyses, concepts of operations, mission analyses, system modes, FMEA/FMECA, and verification and validation plans.
  • Maintain system budgets, including link, power, delta-v, and propellant budgets.
  • Evaluate risks, define mitigation strategies, and participate in risk, opportunity, and resolution planning.
  • Write engineering documentation, participate in design reviews, and respond to review item discrepancies.

Requirements

  • BSc degree in aerospace, engineering, physics, or a similar field.
  • 2–5 years of end-to-end mission experience as a systems engineer for space systems.
  • Experience performing design and analysis for space systems.

Nice to have

  • MSc or PhD in aerospace, engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a similar field.
  • Experience in assembly, integration, and verification or space system operations.
  • Ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong communication skills, agility, and flexibility.
