System Engineer (Space Systems)

What you will do

• Define and manage mission, system, and segment requirements across space, ground, and launch segments, including interfaces and traceability.
• Perform system analyses and contribute to system-level trade-offs, spacecraft bus architecture, and design decisions.
• Contribute to functional analysis, concept of operations definition, mission analysis, system modes, FMEA/FMECA, and verification and validation planning.
• Maintain link, power, delta-v, propellant, and other system budgets.
• Evaluate risks, define mitigation strategies, and participate in risk, opportunity, and resolution planning.
• Write and maintain engineering documentation, participate in design reviews, and respond to review item discrepancies.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Physics, or a similar discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of end-to-end mission experience working as a Systems Engineer for space systems, including design and analysis.

Nice to have

• MSc or PhD degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a similar discipline.
• Experience in AIV or operations of a space system.
• Willingness to collaborate across disciplines and contribute wherever needed.
• Agile and flexible approach to working across geographically distributed teams.
• Strong communication skills.
