What you will do
- Perform process engineering for backend stages, specifically encapsulation, metal can sealing/welding, tape and reel, and final visual inspection.
- Execute process optimizations and material qualifications to improve yield and COQ.
- Review and revise manufacturing documentation to ensure operational accuracy.
- Qualify operators, new machinery, and implement new production processes.
- Investigate production line issues, driving resolution and implementing corrective actions.
- Analyze material interactions, particularly regarding encapsulation, to provide effective technical resolutions.
Requirements
- BS in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
- Strong knowledge of material interactions and the process of encapsulation.
- Ability to troubleshoot backend material-related issues and provide sound resolutions.
- Expertise in encapsulation materials, epoxy characterization, and optimization of mixing and curing processes.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a self-driven, collaborative approach.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or other simulation tools.
