TL;DR
Privacy and Commercial Counsel (AI): Managing GDPR compliance and commercial contracting for a leading e-commerce visual solution with an accent on data protection, product privacy-by-design, and sales agreement negotiation. Focus on embedding privacy into ML/tech developments and scaling legal operations in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Location: Paris-based, 3 days/week in the office. Relocation within Europe is offered, but visa sponsorship and relocation support are only available for positions based in France.

What you will do
- Run GDPR compliance operations, including end-to-end data subject requests and maintenance of processing registries, DPAs, and privacy policies.
- Embed privacy and security compliance into the product by collaborating with ML and tech teams to ensure compliance by design.
- Monitor global privacy regulations and proactively brief internal teams on legal implications and required actions.
- Manage day-to-day commercial contracting, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating sales agreements.
- Support the Head of Legal with trademark registrations, corporate law, labor law, and public affairs.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional legal experience in data protection/privacy at a tech-focused law firm or in-house at a SaaS startup/scale-up.
- Proven experience drafting compliance documentation such as DPAs, DPIAs, and LIAs.
- Ability to independently review, draft, and negotiate a steady volume of commercial and sales contracts.
- Master's degree in law.
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
