What you will do

• Build and own backend systems for ingesting data from physical sensors, devices, and hardware platforms.
• Develop integrations for diverse sensor systems, including those with poor or nonexistent documentation.
• Design data pipelines to normalize and process sensor data for the TyrOS platform.
• Create tracking and sensor-fusion capabilities to correlate multiple detections into single tracked entities.
• Triage and debug production issues to improve system reliability and observability.
• Deploy and test software in both unclassified and classified environments, including on-site customer visits.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience building production software systems.
• Hands-on experience integrating software directly with physical hardware and sensor data streams.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Strong foundation in designing services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Ability to operate independently as a first hire in a new function with limited structure.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Seattle, WA or Rosslyn, VA

Nice to have

• Experience with sensor fusion, object tracking, or multi-sensor correlation algorithms.
• Background in autonomous systems, robotics, aerospace, or defense technology.
• Familiarity with government sensor, signal, or tracking data.
• Experience building software for classified, disconnected, or degraded environments.
• Active security clearance at the Secret level or above.
