Head of US / Country Manager

Full-time/Company: Mercuryo

Mercuryo builds a platform that blends traditional banking with DeFi to simplify crypto access and onboarding. Founded in 2018, the company partners with major brands (Visa, Mastercard, MetaMask, Ledger) and powers 200+ products with a user base of over 7 million.

Responsibilities:

- Define and execute Mercuryo’s US strategy and identify growth opportunities across on/off-ramp, payments, cards, and embedded finance
- Build and drive a pipeline of strategic partnerships and lead US new business acquisition (merchants, exchanges, wallets, fintechs)
- Lead cross-functional coordination across Product, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, Support, and BD to remove blockers and drive execution
- Build relationships with regulators, banking partners, legal advisors, and oversee MTLs, state licensing, and operational governance
- Own US KPIs, budget, performance reporting, and drive a high-performance culture with strong ownership and accountability

Requirements:

- 10+ years in fintech, crypto, banking, payments, or financial services
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role with ownership over revenue, strategy, or market expansion
- Strong understanding of the US crypto, payments, and regulatory landscape
- Proven track record of scaling businesses, markets, or business units
- Strong commercial instincts with demonstrated success in enterprise sales or strategic partnerships

- Owner mindset and ability to balance strategy with execution
- Ability to move fast without sacrificing judgement
- Experience aligning multiple teams around a single goal
- Comfortable in boardrooms, regulatory meetings, and internal execution calls
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- Experience building structure from scratch in ambiguous environments
