What you will do

• Perform deep-dive incident analysis and correlate data from various sources to determine if critical systems or data sets are affected.
• Analyze network traffic to identify exploit or intrusion attempts and recommend detection mechanisms.
• Utilize AI/ML-based tools and techniques to detect anomalies, automate incident triage, and improve threat intelligence.
• Manage security across multiple platforms, including ProofPoint, Splunk, FirePower, Sentinel 1, and Microsoft Defender suite.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts across Azure Entra ID, Google Cloud SCC, and other cloud environments.
• Collaborate across operations to implement automation use cases and enhance SOC capabilities through AI/ML.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Falls Church, VA
• 3+ years of IT security experience with exposure to AI/ML projects.
• 2+ years of experience in network traffic analysis.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, Boolean Logic, and network-level exploits.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cybersecurity automation (SOAR platforms).
• BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as GCED, GSEC, CISSP, or SSCP.
• Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of AI/ML solutions specifically within a SOC environment.
