Location: On-site in Hines, IL, Martinsburg, WV, or Austin, TX

Salary: $79k–$110k

What you will do

• Monitor and triage security alerts in real-time using SIEM and EDR toolsets.
• Lead the investigation, analysis, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents to identify root causes.
• Document incident response activities and collaborate to maintain updated playbooks.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including forensics, threat intelligence, and network administrators.
• Utilize SOAR platforms to automate enrichment, containment, and remediation processes.
• Mentor and train junior Incident Response staff.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain Tier 4 / High Risk Background clearance.
• Must work 100% on-site Monday–Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting incident response in an enterprise-level SOC.
• Possess or be willing to obtain certifications such as GCIH, ECIH, IHRP, CSIH, CIHE, or CEH.
• Strong experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and network monitoring tools.

Nice to have

• Experience investigating IOCs using Splunk by correlating logs from multiple sources.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and KQL for endpoint investigations.
• Ability to remediate phishing incidents and perform malware root cause analysis using PowerShell.
