CSOC CIR Tier II Analyst (Cybersecurity): Performing real-time monitoring and triage of security alerts within a Security Operations Center with an accent on incident investigation, root cause analysis, and remediation. Focus on leveraging SIEM, EDR, and SOAR tools to resolve cybersecurity incidents and tuning alerts for operational efficiency.
Location: On-site in Hines, IL, Martinsburg, WV, or Austin, TX
Salary: $79k–$110k

What you will do
- Monitor and triage security alerts in real-time using SIEM and EDR toolsets.
- Lead the investigation, analysis, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents to identify root causes.
- Document incident response activities and collaborate to maintain updated playbooks.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including forensics, threat intelligence, and network administrators.
- Utilize SOAR platforms to automate enrichment, containment, and remediation processes.
- Mentor and train junior Incident Response staff.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain Tier 4 / High Risk Background clearance.
- Must work 100% on-site Monday–Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting incident response in an enterprise-level SOC.
- Possess or be willing to obtain certifications such as GCIH, ECIH, IHRP, CSIH, CIHE, or CEH.
- Strong experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and network monitoring tools.
Nice to have
- Experience investigating IOCs using Splunk by correlating logs from multiple sources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and KQL for endpoint investigations.
- Ability to remediate phishing incidents and perform malware root cause analysis using PowerShell.
