TL;DR

Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Strengthening company-wide security posture through application, cloud, and infrastructure security with an accent on SOC 2 compliance and secure development practices. Location: Must be based in the United States or Canada. Remote options available, or hybrid in Boston, Chicago, LA, NY, SF, Toronto, or Vancouver.

Salary: $145,000 - $175,000

What you will do

  • Assess and continuously improve the security posture across applications, cloud environments, and corporate systems.
  • Define and implement scalable security standards and automated controls to support SOC 2 readiness.
  • Build and maintain internal security tools and automation for vulnerability management and compliance workflows.
  • Design and implement security controls within CI/CD pipelines, including scanning and secret management.
  • Lead secure design reviews, threat modeling, and API security efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and remediate security gaps in a non-blocking manner.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or Software Engineer with a strong security focus.
  • Proven ability to build production-quality software, automation, and internal tooling.
  • Deep understanding of application security, cloud security, and secure CI/CD practices.
  • Hands-on experience with security frameworks such as SOC 2, NIST, or ISO 27001.
  • Familiarity with C#, modern backend systems, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Must be located in the USA or Canada.
