Machine Learning Analyst (Generative AI)

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule in Toronto, Canada; the role will move from 483 Bay Street to the Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway approximately in late 2026. Current Canadian work authorization is required.

Salary: CAD 105,000–129,000 total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target bonus.

What you will do

• Develop machine learning software solutions and end-to-end AI/ML applications using open-source and proprietary systems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, transformation, algorithm research, rapid prototyping, benchmarking, and error analysis.
• Develop and evaluate Generative AI and LLM use cases, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, document intelligence, summarization, classification, and conversational AI.
• Prepare, query, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured enterprise data with Snowflake, SQL, Snowflake Cortex, and related cloud AI services.
• Collaborate with Emerging Technology, IS ML Ops, infrastructure teams, Scrum teams, and business stakeholders to implement practical solutions.
• Support model deployment, monitoring, documentation, version control, and customized ML environment design across on-premise and cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Current authorization to work in Canada is required.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Software Engineering, or another STEM discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in data science, artificial intelligence, or applied machine learning, including solid knowledge of predictive modeling, supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, and model evaluation.
• 1–2 years of Snowflake experience with strong SQL, data transformation, query optimization, and familiarity with Snowflake Cortex or similar AI/ML capabilities.
• Experience with Python AI/ML libraries, AWS and SageMaker deployment pipelines, Git, and production machine learning workflows.
• Practical LLM application experience with prompt design, retrieval pipelines, embeddings, semantic search, model evaluation, and responsible AI practices.

Nice to have

• Cloud computing and production ML deployment experience at scale.
• AWS Certified Machine Learning or AWS Certified Data Analytics certification.
• Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course certification.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, deep learning, ensemble methods, time series analysis, and optimization.
