Machine Learning Analyst (AI)

Location: Must have current work authorization for Canada. Flexible hybrid schedule in Toronto (relocating to Mississauga in late 2026), with 100% remote, hybrid, and in-office options available.

Salary: $105,000 – $129,000

What you will do

• Develop machine learning-based software solutions using open source and proprietary systems.
• Implement Generative AI and LLM solutions, including prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and pre-processing using Snowflake and other enterprise data platforms.
• Prototype new algorithms and conduct benchmarking against baselines and existing approaches.
• Collaborate with ML Ops and business stakeholders in agile scrum sessions to implement high-impact solutions.
• Support projects through the documentation, monitoring, and version control of models.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Software Engineering, or other STEM discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a data science, AI, or applied machine learning position.
• Proficiency in Python-based AI/ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, pandas, NumPy).
• Strong SQL skills and 1–2 years of experience working with Snowflake.
• Experience with Git for version control, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS SageMaker and AWS certifications (Machine Learning, Data Analytics).
• Experience building and deploying production ML models to solve inference challenges at scale.
• Knowledge of Investment Funds in Canada and/or Canadian Securities Course (CSI) designation.
