Location: Must be based in or able to work in Mexico City (CDMX). The role is currently remote with a future transition to a hybrid setup.

is a hyper-growth Series B fintech startup building an AI-powered financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S. via WhatsApp-based remittances.
What you will do
- Architect and implement high-performance, scalable backend microservices for the core Chat Platform.
- Build and iterate on chatbot services and natural language interfaces for remittance processing.
- Design infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests with real-time messaging.
- Develop backend services using Google Cloud platform standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UX/UI, and business units.
- Mentor junior developers and implement engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience building chatbots, conversational interfaces, or integrating NLP tools.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with web services (SOAP, REST APIs) and architectural patterns like Hexagonal or Event-Driven Architecture.
- English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher required.
- Must be based in or able to work in Mexico City (CDMX).
Nice to have
- Experience with chatbot frameworks like DialogFlow, IBM Watson, or Rasa.
- Prior experience or strong curiosity in the Fintech industry.
