Senior Network Engineer (Networks): Leading the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale LAN, WAN, and hybrid cloud network infrastructure with an accent on security, scalability, and operational resilience. Focus on architecting complex network solutions, managing enterprise-grade hardware, and ensuring high availability across diverse business environments.

Location: Must be based in the UK (Bristol, Sheffield, Birmingham, London, or Manchester). Working Style: 3 days a week in office, 2 days from home.

What you will do

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-scale LAN, WAN, and hybrid cloud networks.
• Manage core network services including VPNs, VLANs, QoS, DNS, DHCP, and segmentation.
• Deploy and support enterprise-grade routers, switches, and load balancers.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce access controls and ensure compliance.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and optimize for reliability.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK and able to work in the office 3 days per week.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience (CCNA minimum).
• Demonstrable expertise in switching, routing, load balancing, and network security.
• Track record of delivering complex network solutions within time, cost, and quality targets.
• Ability to dissect and resolve technical problems through structured analysis.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise-scale on-prem virtualization (VMware).
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, network automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of Juniper, Palo Alto, or other enterprise networking platforms.
