Group Internal Audit IT Senior Manager (Digital, Data and AI): Lead risk-based IT audit planning and deliver a portfolio of Digital, Data, AI and technology-related audits with an accent on assurance over complex, sensitive and strategic risk areas. Focus on leading audit teams, coordinating third-party specialists, and providing practical, actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Location: London or Birmingham, hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home)

What you will do
- Develop risk-based audit plans aligned to business risks and coordinated with assurance providers.
- Deliver Digital, Data, AI and technology-related audits to agreed quality standards and timelines.
- Provide independent assurance, challenge and recommendations on complex, sensitive and strategic risk areas.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of IT Audit Managers.
- Manage and coordinate third-party audit specialists when needed.
- Represent Internal Audit at governance forums and provide assurance updates and risk insights to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading IT, Digital, Data and technology-focused audits in a complex, regulated organisation, including building risk-based audit plans.
- Proven stakeholder management skills to influence, challenge and engage senior leaders.
- Leadership experience delivering complex audit and assurance programmes and developing Audit Managers.
Nice to have
- Experience auditing data governance, data management and AI-related controls (e.g., data architecture, metadata management, data analytics).
- Knowledge of technology and data control frameworks such as DCAM.
- Professional qualification such as CISA (or equivalent).
- Experience across domains including DevSecOps, Agile delivery, Application Security, Data and Information Security, Third-Party Management, Transformation and GDPR.
