What you will do

• Apply senior underwriting authority across Professional Indemnity and SME risks.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including conversion rates, loss ratios, and profitability.
• Collaborate with product and digital teams to shape new insurance products and digital journeys.
• Contribute to AI, automation, and straight-through processing initiatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert for PI and D&O products, ensuring governance and standards.
• Provide recommendations to improve trading outcomes and customer journeys.

Requirements

• Significant commercial underwriting experience.
• Strong expertise in Professional Indemnity (PI) and Directors' & Officers' (D&O) risks.
• Experience operating with underwriting authority and technical decision-making.
• Understanding of underwriting governance, controls, and portfolio management.
• Excellent communication and customer management skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.

• Direct insurance or SME commercial insurance knowledge.
• Background in MGA, insurer, or commercial brokerage.
• Experience with product development, pricing, or rating.
