What you will do

• Assist in the design of electrical power, lighting, life safety, and security systems for commercial and educational facilities.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Perform engineering calculations including load, lighting, short-circuit, and arc flash analysis.
• Coordinate project timelines and resources with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure design feasibility and code compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in K-12 design.
• Must be a resident in the State of Michigan.
• Proficiency in Revit and electrical design/lighting calculation software is required.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam is required.
• Ability to travel 20-30% of the time throughout the State of Michigan.
