What you will do

• Architect and scale high-performance APIs using Ruby on Rails and robust frontends using React.
• Drive advanced PostgreSQL data modeling, complex schema migrations, and query optimization.
• Manage containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes, utilizing Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Implement zero-trust security models, authentication controls, and mTLS configurations.
• Participate in shift-left technical design reviews and provide rigorous peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with mission success teams to troubleshoot technical escalations for field operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack experience in production-grade applications.
• Deep expertise in Ruby (Rails) and SQL.
• Advanced proficiency in modern React architecture and state management.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in the defense or public safety sector (DoD, first responders).
• Familiarity with Team Awareness Kit (TAK) ecosystem.
• Experience with biometric data compliance and EBTS requirements.
• Knowledge of AI/LLM integration in production backend workflows.
• Polyglot capabilities in Kotlin, C++, C#, or Python.
