What you will do

• Build self-service flows for account recovery and cancellation to reduce support load.
• Develop and enhance identity-related functionality including authentication, session management, and MFA.
• Integrate risk-based fraud detection and security measures to mitigate threats.
• Design and implement user data retention and deletion workflows compliant with GDPR.
• Collaborate with product, security, and legal teams on identity initiatives.
• Write clear technical documentation and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with JavaScript/React (backend-focused role).
• Experience with relational databases and SQL at scale.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Comfortable using AI tools for development with full accountability for the output.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of security fundamentals and handling sensitive user data.
• Experience with Customer Support tools like Zendesk and Forethought.
• Familiarity with CIAM, SSO, SAML, and federation concepts.
