What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain Unreal Engine systems that interface with backend services.
• Integrate and expand a proprietary backend SDK using TypeScript and OpenAPI standards.
• Develop online functionality including matchmaking (server-side and peer-to-peer), persistent player data, and account progression.
• Implement live service features such as inventory, statistics, and in-game events.
• Collaborate with UI/UX and game systems designers to ensure smooth data transitions and correct data models/backend logic.
• Identify and resolve full-stack technical hurdles and produce internal documentation for complex technical workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Extensive Unreal Engine experience (UE5 preferred).
• Strong C++ skills in an Unreal Engine environment.
• Experience with backend platforms such as Pragma, Playfab, or proprietary solutions.
• Proven backend experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or related stacks.
• Direct experience building backend-powered features such as profiles, matchmaking, and player inventories.
