Senior Software Engineer (API Platform & Go)

What you will do

• Own the API services framework and proto-driven code generation for Go SDKs, CWIC CLI commands, and Terraform resources.
• Design and ship API contracts using schema evolution and backwards-compatibility discipline, enforcing API standards in CI.
• Champion developer experience (DX) across CLI and SDK surfaces to improve ergonomics and release cadence.
• Implement authentication and identity flows (access keys, mTLS, OIDC) from proto definitions into generated clients.
• Act as an internal API consultant, helping other teams design and ship consistent, high-quality services.
• Lead team-level technical initiatives and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Professional experience writing Go in a production environment.
• Experience designing and evolving APIs, with a focus on versioning and deprecation.
• Experience building or maintaining client tooling such as SDKs, CLIs, or Infrastructure-as-Code providers (Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane).
• Track record of owning complex projects end-to-end and operating independently.
• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee) or eligible for U.S. Government export authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with code generation pipelines, AST manipulation, or compiler/plugin work.
• Proficiency with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and the Buf toolchain.
• Familiarity with ConnectRPC, the Terraform Plugin Framework, or Cobra.
