What you will do
- Architect manufacturing test systems for electrical, embedded, and control subsystems across multiple product lines.
- Define and drive automated production test strategies to maximize coverage, repeatability, and throughput.
- Integrate Design-for-Test (DFT) and Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) principles early in product development.
- Own the full lifecycle of test platforms, including requirements, hardware/software development, and deployment.
- Lead root cause analysis and failure investigations by analyzing system-level test data.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish high standards for test documentation and technical records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering for complex electro-mechanical or embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Python for test automation, instrumentation control, and data analysis.
- Deep understanding of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and EtherCAT.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and experience with ECAD tools (Altium preferred).
- Experience with Linux or RTOS-based systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating test systems with MES, test databases, and SPC frameworks.
- Exposure to safety-critical or regulated product development environments.
- Background in robotics or highly integrated mechatronic systems.
