Central Team Leader - Benefits (HR Operations): Planning and directing the overall design, implementation, and administration of benefits programs with an accent on strategic vision and regulatory compliance. Focus on leading the benefits team, managing multi-state legal mandates, and optimizing employee wellness and retirement plans.

Location: On-site in Edmond, OK

What you will do

  • Lead and coach the Benefits Team, providing professional development and strategic direction through regular coaching and growth plans.
  • Develop and implement a multi-year benefits strategy to attract and retain top talent while reflecting organizational values.
  • Oversee the design and administration of health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal and state laws, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and COBRA, across 12 different states.
  • Manage vendor relationships, audit benefit invoices, and ensure budget accuracy in partnership with Finance.
  • Create and maintain accessible educational content and communication to help staff utilize their benefits effectively.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Edmond, OK.
  • 8+ years of related work experience in employee benefits, HR, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of employee benefits design and federal/state laws (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience guiding others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate complex benefit info into accessible language.
  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a self-funded health plan environment.
  • CEBS, CBP, or SHRM-CP/SCP certification.
