Junior Software Engineer (Frontend Focused)

Location: Onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland; applicants must reside in the United States at the time of application.

Salary: USD $75,421–$150,842 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop clean, responsive frontend interfaces for displaying complex mission data.
• Communicate directly with analysts and operators to understand workflows and incorporate feedback.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and build automated solutions that improve user efficiency.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional development and analysis team to solve ambiguous problems.
• Deliver software rapidly from concept through production.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with FSP clearance required.
• At least 3 years of software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or at least 7 years of experience in place of the degree.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience building web applications with React, Angular, or a similar modern UI framework.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQLite, or MySQL.
• Basic Docker knowledge, Git experience, and comfort with the Linux command line.

Nice to have

• Computer Network Operations experience.
• Backend or additional frontend experience with FastAPI, Spring Boot, or Vue.
• Programming experience with Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, CI/CD, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, or Ansible.
• AWS or other cloud certifications, or exposure to data science and machine learning.
