What you will do
- Own ’s earned media presence end-to-end, including media strategy, press coverage, and reactive communications.
- Lead the relationship with the PR agency, driving strategic agenda and accountability for coverage outcomes.
- Build and manage a proactive media program targeting fintech, SMB, and entrepreneurship beats.
- Manage executive communications for the CEO and leadership team, including speech writing and LinkedIn presence.
- Drive communications for product launches, brand campaigns, and company milestones in partnership with PMM and Brand.
- Monitor and protect brand reputation using a crisis communications playbook.
Requirements
- 8+ years in communications, PR, or corporate affairs at a high-growth SaaS, fintech, or consumer brand.
- Proven experience owning media programs and building personal reporter relationships.
- Strong executive communications chops with experience writing for CEOs and coaching founders.
- High editorial bar with the ability to translate financial product stories for small business owners.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-adjacent environments.
- Strategic operator capable of building systems and processes from scratch.
Nice to have
- Experience working with brands serving small business owners or self-employed professionals.
- Public POV on communications, media, or brand (e.g., newsletter, LinkedIn presence).
- Experience navigating major brand moments such as funding rounds or product controversies.
