Senior Technical Solutions Architect (FCC)

Location: Toronto Office; 100% remote schedule available, with hybrid and in-office options. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 170,000–194,000 total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target bonus.

Fidelity Clearing Canada provides trade execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support services to Canadian brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms.

What you will do

• Lead FCC architecture and technology strategies aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
• Design, assess, and maintain complex solutions integrating internal systems and external vendor platforms.
• Develop architecture blueprints, standards, solution designs, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Advise business and technology leaders on dependencies, constraints, risks, trade-offs, and solution approaches.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and Architecture Review Boards on project and product planning.
• Manage architectural risks and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, implementation, and data governance standards.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of IT experience, including more than 5 years as an architect within a formal architecture practice.
• Experience working with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Security functions.
• Knowledge of TOGAF or Zachman, UML, object-oriented design, SOA, microservices, JEE, cloud, databases, APIs, event-oriented architecture, and infrastructure.
• Strong security architecture knowledge, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and SSO.
• Experience with JavaScript, Spring, Oracle, AWS, BPM, API Gateway, content management, MQ, and cloud technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; current Canadian work authorization required.

Nice to have

• Understanding of brokerage systems and legacy system integrations.
• Experience as a solution designer, application architect, solution architect, data architect, or enterprise architect.
• TOGAF certification.
