What you will do

• Lead technical design and architecture for complex microservices and features.
• Develop and maintain production systems using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and Python.
• Design event-driven systems using Kafka, SNS/SQS, and EventBridge.
• Architect and deploy serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design guidance.
• Own CI/CD pipeline strategy and lead incident response efforts.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to Atlanta, GA.
• Significant professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot and TypeScript (Vue or React).
• Deep SQL expertise including schema design and complex query optimization.
• Experience designing and deploying microservices on AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and serverless patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python for data pipelines or ML/AI integration.
• Knowledge of LLM/AI capabilities including RAG and prompt engineering.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK).
• Background in public safety or mission-critical software development.
