What you will do

• Support the development of compute platform components including embedded compute, sensors, and power distribution.
• Lead design discussions regarding functional safety across hardware, software, and validation teams.
• Derive safety requirements and ensure system architectures align with safety concepts.
• Conduct Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA) to define safety goals.
• Perform safety analyses including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Collaborate with Tier-1 suppliers and internal teams to progress safety deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Robotics with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of ISO 26262 (FUSA) and ISO 21448 (SOTIF).
• Experience developing functional safety requirements in an automotive-related field.
• Familiarity with safety analysis processes such as HAZOP, FMEA, STPA, and FTA.
• Broad understanding of software, networking, electrical, and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex technical issues to diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Expertise with sensor modalities like LiDAR, camera, and radar.
• Experience with motion control systems.
• Proficiency with Jira and requirements management tools like DOORS or Jama.
• Experience with Autonomous Vehicles or ADAS safety concepts.
