What you will do

• Lead and manage the enterprise data governance program, including policy development and decision-rights frameworks.
• Oversee the federated stewardship network and coordinate domain-level Data Owners and Stewards.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data classification standards and the authoritative PHI inventory.
• Collaborate with technology teams to embed governance into data pipelines and platforms like Alation and Microsoft Purview.
• Establish AI and GenAI data governance guardrails and access rules.
• Manage team workload and mentor direct reports to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the USA; sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or information security.
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare or health insurance industry.
• Demonstrated expertise with data classification, metadata management, and tools like Alation or Microsoft Purview.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and NIST regulatory frameworks.
