Senior Software Engineer - High Voltage Electrification (Embedded)

Senior Software Engineer (Embedded): Developing and delivering software solutions for embedded control systems, specifically for high voltage contactors and energy management for battery packs with an accent on safety-critical automotive systems. Focus on ensuring ISO26262 compliance, implementing complex diagnostics strategies, and developing AI-driven predictive analytics for fault detection.

Location: Hybrid: Must report to the office in Milford, Michigan three times per week

What you will do

• Develop high-quality embedded software for high voltage contactors and battery energy management.
• Ensure strict compliance with ISO26262 safety requirements, government regulations, and MISRA guidelines.
• Implement physics and controls requirements for mechatronic controls and diagnostics strategies.
• Work with automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, ARXML, and Ethernet.
• Verify software functionality using SiL, HiL, and vehicle-level testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop AI-driven diagnostics and predictive analytics to enhance anomaly detection in control systems.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded controls software for High Voltage Battery Systems.
• Proven experience with Automotive Safety standards (ISO26262).
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Hands-on experience with SiL, HiL, and Vehicle-Level testing frameworks.
• Experience utilizing JIRA and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Nice to have

• MS in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Expertise in Matlab Simulink, Auto Code Generation, and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR standards and MISRA guidelines.
• Experience with bootloaders, embedded OS, and complex device drivers.
