Design Engineer (Mechanical)

What you will do

• Create and revise 3D models and engineering drawings for new and existing products.
• Research new concepts and conduct prototype testing.
• Inspect first article samples and implement necessary corrections.
• Collaborate with QC/QA and Sales departments to provide technical data.
• Support the Manufacturing Department in reducing and controlling rework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in 3D design, solid modeling, and 2D drawings using Creo Parametric.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
• Experience with basic design engineering calculations and tolerance stack-up studies.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion.

Nice to have

• Experience in surface modeling using Creo Parametric.
• 1+ years of experience in FEA using Creo Simulate or Ansys.
• Experience with Windchill PLM software.
• Background in construction/mining equipment wear parts or steel casting/machining.
