Advanced Mechanical Engineer

Location: Onsite in McLeansville, NC. U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance (obtainable after hire) are strictly required.

Salary: $60,000 - $180,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test mechanical devices, including tools, engines, and machines.
• Apply engineering, physics, and materials science principles to ensure solutions are safe, efficient, and reliable.
• Perform fast-paced, quick-turn modeling and verification for research and development designs.
• Develop technical documentation, including procedures, specifications, design packages, and engineering reports.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and Secret security clearance (obtainable after hire) are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related STEM field) with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Working knowledge of computer-aided analysis tools (thermal, CFD, structural) such as Ansys.
• Working knowledge of computer-aided design tools (3D, 2D, layout) such as Creo.
• Experience with small form factor, high power electromechanical elements.
• Experience with high-pressure applications and sealing technologies.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with modeling CAD tools for creating detailed mechanical models and drawings.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods and industry standards.
• Ability to lead a team in project design, testing, and prototype fabrication.
