What you will do
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable telecom, VoIP, and SIP-based services for real-time voice interactions.
- Architect cloud-native microservices using Java, C, and AWS to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Develop services for SIP routing, call control, session management, and carrier connectivity.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues involving SIP signaling, RTP media paths, and carrier interconnectivity.
- Mentor software engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and incident response.
- Drive continuous improvement in system performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior or lead roles.
- Deep expertise in telecom, VoIP, SIP, RTP, SDP, and real-time communications systems.
- Proficiency in Java and C for building production-grade backend services.
- Experience designing and supporting microservices in AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, etc.).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and high-availability design.
- Experience with SIP troubleshooting tools like sngrep, Wireshark, and tcpdump.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with OpenSIPS or other platforms like Kamailio, Asterisk, or FreeSWITCH.
- Knowledge of Cloud CX and voice architecture (BYOC, Edge, Architect flows).
- Experience with Kubernetes, service mesh, and multi-region deployments.
- Expertise in securing voice platforms using TLS, SRTP, and mTLS.
