Audit Specialist (Wholesale Banking)

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate audit assignments through the full lifecycle: planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.
• Perform risk assessments and develop risk-based Audit Work Programmes.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls and compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Conduct audit interviews and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to communicate results.
• Prepare impactful audit reports and provide value-adding recommendations to senior management.
• Coach and support junior auditors in their professional development.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of Internal Audit experience in Wholesale Banking (or 8 years combined experience in Risk Management, Lending, or Big 4).
• Strong knowledge of wholesale banking products, services, and associated risks.
• University degree, preferably a Master's in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Fluent English and Slovak language skills (C1 level or higher).
• Ability to travel approximately 4–6 weeks per year.

• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CISA, or CFA.
