Payroll Specialist (SAP Payroll)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end payroll processes for Switzerland and multiple European countries, including year-end activities.
• Process social insurance contributions, reporting, share plans, and special payroll cases.
• Perform data-quality and plausibility checks, review external provider calculations, and oversee payroll file delivery.
• Coordinate international taxation, shadow payroll, and split payroll for international assignees and transferees.
• Produce reports and statistics for Finance, Pension Fund, Health Insurer, AHV, and other stakeholders.
• Define system and interface requirements, conduct testing, support change management, and improve documented processes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss payroll legislation, social security, labour law, local taxation, and international double taxation agreements.
• Experienced user of SAP Payroll and strong Microsoft Excel skills for building, analysing, and validating complex datasets.
• Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
• Structured, detail-oriented approach with the ability to solve complex problems, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of European social security, labour law, local tax, and international double taxation agreements.
• Certification or further education in social security, international assignment management, or HR outsourcing.
• Additional European language such as French, Spanish, Italian, or Danish.
• Experience with shadow and split payroll for internationally mobile employees.
• Commercial or technical education and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
