Senior Internal Auditor (Engineering, Design & Construction)

Location: Levice, Slovakia; hybrid work with home office possible two days per week; willingness to travel up to 30% required.

Basic wage component: €3,300 gross per month minimum, with final compensation based on level, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Conduct audits of engineering, design, construction, commissioning, and quality management processes within large EPC projects.
• Assess design reviews, engineering change management, interface coordination, documentation control, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Evaluate construction governance, contractor performance, quality controls, mechanical completion, and commissioning readiness.
• Identify technical risks involving design issues, scope gaps, rework, delays, and quality failures, and ensure effective mitigation measures.
• Improve engineering efficiency, cross-functional collaboration, execution controls, and risk management practices.

Requirements

• Engineering degree and 7–15 years of experience in engineering, construction, commissioning, or site execution within large industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of plant design, construction and commissioning processes, technical documentation, and ISO 9001 quality management.
• Ability to identify technical risks, translate them into business impacts, and apply audit or risk management principles.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and negotiation skills, including the ability to challenge senior stakeholders.
• Fluent English required.
• High integrity, independent working style, international mindset, and willingness to travel up to 30%.
