Senior Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Accountant (Finance): Managing full-cycle accounting processes for a global waste-to-X technology leader with an accent on VAT reporting, fixed assets, and financial statements. Focus on ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing project cost allocation, and coordinating with international stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid (Levice, Slovakia). Home office is possible 2 days a week.

Salary: from 2 200 EUR/month (gross)

What you will do

• Handle accounting for invoices, payables, travel expenses, and payroll posting.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, accrued expenses, and project cost allocation.
• Prepare payment orders and post bank transactions.
• Prepare VAT/CIS and annual financial reports.
• Perform BS reconciliations and statistics preparation.
• Communicate with tax authorities, consultants, and parent company finance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in finance, including 3+ years in an international environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (IFS or SAP FI/CO) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and VAT principles.
• English: C1 level (Advanced) required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Levice, Slovakia (Hybrid).
